Hello again
As you may have noticed, there was no blog for June as, apart from not much happening due to covid restrictions, it was John's 50th birthday at the beginning of July so we went down to Denmark (WA) for that, so consequently didn't have time anyway to do a June blog.
This month we have so many photos that I won't be able to put them all up, so will upload some of the main ones and maybe send another blog in a couple of weeks time with more photos or leave them to add onto the August blog - that's if I'm still doing blogs then as I see that blogger will be changing it's interface, which is supposed to make things easier, but I find now that any changes in technology are usually harder to understand, chuckle!
So here we go! I'll start with my sister Marion's birthday photo which she sent me. As you can see she's still looking good (and going strong) at 82 and is much more active than I am!
We stayed with Jo when we went down to Denmark, and went up to John and Silvia's for dinner the night we arrived.

Here's the invite John and Silvia sent out for their joint 50th birthdays celebration. (Silvia had missed having a party for her 50th as it was during the covid restrictions). The theme was to be dressing up in outfits you had worn in your teens!
Now John's birthday breakfast photos and the opening of cards and presents (mostly money and vouchers, as you can see.)

Here's a few photos of the party, as I'm afraid most of the ones I took weren't very good, but it will give you an idea of how it was - which was a great success!

While we were down there, John took us for a drive to a couple of Aboriginal special places which were magical! Firstly we had a lovely ride to where there is an aboriginal special place called Ngamma holes (I think that's how you spell it) where there are holes in the granite rocks where they used to build fires to cook, catch water to drink and one was quite deep. John said that they used that one for wedding ceremonies. It was a very special place and you could feel it.

Refreshment time! |
We had a snack and drink there, then John drove on to Millar’s Basin which was also very special. It was a big pool which was very good for swimming and drinking John said.
There was quite a deep chasm between the rocks where the water flowed into the basin

Some beautiful rain drops still shine in the sun! |
Apart from a very little rain on the drive, the weather had been beautiful all day, truly in keeping with the two beautiful and special places!
We stayed in Denmark longer than usual as the following week Jo had a little Op, so we stayed to look after her for a few days (with the help of family and friends, who are continuing to spoil and pamper her until she's fitter!). When we left she was making good progress and is now able to walk down into town, though the short walk back up the hill is still a bit tiring. Here's a few photos of her, and some birds she took while recuperating.

Mike also took some photos, but on reading and looking through what I've uploaded already, I'll leave them, with other Denmark photos taken by the family, until next time! - if I can cope with the new blogger interface, chuckle!
Enjoy!
