Now for the November news.
We celebrated Simon's birthday as the local Chinese Restaurant and had a very nice meal and congenial evening! Here's some photos:

Jo and Alex are still busy with their art, but will be having a break now for the Christmas holidays.
Lizzie has at last finished her exams and hopefully she has done well in them.
I have been playing lots of bowls and at the time of writing we are 2nd on the ladder for our Division! Let's hope we keep as good (or better!) for the whole season.
Mike's walking has temporarily stopped as he has been doing lots of gardening, digging out tangled tree roots in the front garden. It's been a very long and arduous job, but we have now put some Lobelias in (and some radishes!) for the edging and also some Rosemary cuttings. Hopefully the Freesia bulbs which looked so lovely in the spring, will come up again next spring as Mike has also replanted them all as well.
Silvia and the children are minus John at the moment as he has gone to Poland for his work for a couple of weeks. On the way he had a few days stopover with the family there, and they all had a really good time, as Guy and Tracey, and Mick and Rose also came down to visit him while he was there.
Here's some photos he has sent us:

They had a Chinese feast on the evening before John left for Poland.
Now here's a few more he sent of his first impressions of Poland:
He says that the food is very good and cheap and the offices are very modern. His accommodation in the hotel is also very good. Here's a link to the hotel if your'e interested in having a look!
Lastly, here's some of Mike's local photos:

That's about it for now - enjoy! See you all again after Christmas.
