November 2014

Hello - Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to say:

Merry Christmas
and a
Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to all!

This will be a small blog this month as I am going to be busy in the run up to Christmas. Anyway, here's a few photos just to keep you up to date.

The main event was that me and my team won the club Ladies Championship Fours! It was a very exciting game with the score being 18 all on the 18th end with one more end to play. Luckily (or skilfully, whichever you like to think, chuckle!) we got 1 shot on the last end, giving us the win - and that's all you need! Whether you win by 1 or 21, it's still a win, chuckle!
Here's a photo of us looking very happy about it afterwards - even though we were a little windblown! Left to right, Ann - 2nd, me - skip, Betty - lead, and Ria - 3rd.

John also sent us some photos of their performance of 'Fiddler on the Roof' in Denmark's (WA) 'Brave New Works' weekend. In the 2nd photo you can spot Emil and John in hats at the back, and Maya is just in front of John in a stripey shirt - at least I think that's Maya!

Mike has been busy building his 2nd model aeroplane out of aluminium cans, but still hasn't quite finished it yet. I think he enjoys building them more than trying to fly them, chuckle! Here's some photos of it:

We celebrated Simon's birthday this month and he has also got into making model aeroplanes, besides doing his writing. Lizzie did well in her school exams and is now enjoying relaxing as a change from studying so hard. Alex continues to teach art to Seniors as well as being tutored herself and Jo is still winning awards for her entries in exhibitions!

To end with, here's some photos Mike took on his morning walks.

Well, that's all for now. See you after the Christmas holidays!
