Hello again
Another month has flown past! This month has included Mother's Day here in Australia, and a flying visit from John, Silvia and the kids last weekend, so not a lot of family photos but I'm including some garden and local scenes to fill up the blog, chuckle!
Firstly Mother's Day - me and Mike joined Jo, Simon, Alex and Lizzie for breakfast in a nice café, picked up a bike from Jo and Simon's verge collection stuff which Mike thought would do for Benjamin when he comes up (after a bit of work done on it) then dropped off Lizzie for her soccer practice before the game on our way home. After lunch I went and joined Jo for the 2nd half of Lizzie's game, which they won 3 - 1! It was a sunny but very cold afternoon and here's a photo of me and Jo wrapped up watching the game, chuckle!
Here's the bike Mike repaired for Benjamin. It took a while, but went OK when tried out during their flying visit.
Nothing much of interest since then until John and Silvia came up. Mike has been walking/cycling depending on how his ankles have been, and I have been playing social bowls a couple of times a week, weather permitting.
The afternoon they arrived, Mike took the kids over the park to try out bikes for sizes etc and Emil flew his model jet plane. Silvia and John went to get some curtain tracks and I prepared tea. Jo managed to pop round to have tea with us and we took a belated Mother's Day photo of the 3 of us.
On Sunday John, Silvia and family went to meet a friend in Fremantle for breakfast, then we managed to fit in a very quick and small paella for lunch. It's difficult in winter to fit a lot of people in as we have the wood pile on the patio, and if we have to eat indoors because of inclement weather, we can't get more than 8 round the table! Afterwards John, Silvia and family went up to visit Dieter and Marga.

John took the photo, so only the top of his head is in it! |
The next day John cycled to the weir to meet up with a couple of friends while Silvia, Jo and the kids all went to IKEA. Mike also cycled round to the weir and I drove part of the way, then walked, so we could say a quick hello to John's friends who we haven't seen for quite a while.
They all left after lunch, and although it had been a very full on weekend, it was lovely to see them all and have them to stay!
To finish off, here's some of our other photos.

Does anyone know the name of this tree? The berries are the size of olives and go bright red. The lorikeets and other parrots love them! |
