July 2017

Hi all

Firstly we had some sad news recently that Dave, Mike's elder brother, had passed away in the UK.

Remembering the good times we shared over the years

Now our news, which isn't very exciting this month, so there's not a lot of photos as the weather has been too bad to get out much!
John celebrated his birthday at the beginning of the month and they went off camping for a few days as the kids were on school holiday. We didn't get down to Denmark to share the celebrations, but John sent these photos.

The birthday boy!
In the one on the right we cheated and cut him out of a
photo he sent us of Jo's birthday in April, chuckle!

Opening presents in bed.......

....another 'Smiley face' T-shirt from Emil
Notice the crown - it's a tradition in their family to be 'King for the day!'

Here's some photos we've taken  locally, when the weather permitted, and indoors when it didn't!

2 owls in a tree opposite our house

The owls are not very clear, as apart from the fact that the owls were trying to hide, I took it on my mobile phone and also the wind was blowing the leaves and branches!

The mini grandfather lock Mike made

On the right is the mini Grandfather clock Mike made, with Don Quixote and an old edition of the book.

At the end of the month, we went to the Murdoch University Open Day and met up with Alex and Dan who were painting murals there. Here's some photos of a huge one which they finished recently.

Jo came up to stay again for a few days and Lizzie and Nathan popped round to see her.

That's about it for this month, hopefully there will be another blog next month if the blog program doesn't play up too much!
