May 2020

Hello again

Well we've survived another month with restrictions and now next week even more are being taken off, so we here in WA are doing extremely well! Not a lot going on this month for us though, so there's just photos and captions mainly.

The month started with Mothers day. Mike made me a lovely dinner in the evening and I had Skype calls from the family which was lovely too. Here's a couple of photos of Silvia and Jo, who joined John, Silvia and family for breakfast.

We all had a very Happy Mothers Day.

A couple of days before Mothers Day, Benjamin caught this big salmon when he went fishing!

Later Benjamin, with Emil's help, cooked the family a lovely salmon curry.

On our local walks along the river, we have been lucky to see some Bandicoots, and on one particular morning Mike managed to be fortunate enough to get this photo. They move very quickly usually, but this one froze for a moment so he got the picture.

Now here's some other photos of we took on some of the walks.

Jo and Liz have sent photos of their veggies, which have survived the bad weather we have had.

Jo's veggies - they've grown a lot since last month!

Lizzie's herbs and veggie seedlings etc.
Here's some photos of our Shrimp plant (I don't know it's proper name, chuckle!).......

....... and here's a couple of jigsaw puzzles I got from the library recently, which we've done to keep ourselves amused during restrictions and bad weather (mind you, we have had some nice sunny weather too during the month)

Government Building - Budapest....

Can you spot the missing piece in this one?

Denmark (WA) had a Mini Festival of Voice this weekend, as it's the WA Day holiday. They usually have a huge festival, but as only 20 people were allowed inside and/or outside and due to social distancing, the committee decided at he last minute to have a very small one. Silvia's storytelling group performed and she said it went very well. John said quite a few people were in town for the holiday weekend, as some regional border restrictions have been lifted. Also as from 6th June the new rule is 100 people indoors or out, but with strict social distancing rules of 2 sq mts per person.

That's it for now. Hopefully we'll have more news and photos next month!

Enjoy!
