Hello again
Well we have quite a few events this month - our 59th Wedding Anniversary, Easter, Jo's birthday, Silvia's 50th (!!) birthday and a visit from John and Silvia, so we have some photos relating to those events and also quite a lot of gardening photos, chuckle!
Due to the restrictions, we haven't been going very far, but have managed a walk along the river path opposite us on most days and also trips for weekly shopping during the special early opening hour.
We spent a quiet anniversary at home but cooked ourselves a special meal in the evening which, consumed with some nice wine, was very pleasant. The family in Denmark WA all spoke to us on Skype, as did my sister Marion from the UK.
The next event was Easter. This seemed a bit strange to us and we usually go down to Denmark to spend it with the family, but again on Easter Sunday we shared photos of our face painted eggs with the family on Skype. Firstly though, I have to say I forgot to buy hot cross buns for Good Friday, and as flour was also in short supply, Jo gave us a good idea and we made our own.........ice cream with chocolate topping crosses which we had with our coffee round the pool.
Now the Easter Sunday eggs, here's ours .......

Soon after Easter Jo celebrated her birthday with the rest of the family in Denmark. Once again Skype was put to good use and these photos were sent to us.....

Just a couple of days later John and Silvia had to come up to Perth and managed to visit both Silvia's Dad, Dieter, and Marga and us. They could only spend a short time with us, but it was lovely to see them 'in the flesh' after having missed all the Easter and birthday 'live' celebrations.
While they were with us, Silvia recorded me, Mike, John and herself singing Happy Birthday for Trudi in the UK which she sent to her! (So many birthdays in April!) Below is a photo Silvia took of me playing Happy Birthday while we all sang.
Now, in between all these events, things were happening in gardens both here and in the UK!
Firstly here's Jo's photos of her veggies etc......

Jo's new straw bale project |
Replanted asparagus and carrot seedings. |
Not being a gardener myself, I can't remember exactly what's what in John and Jo's photos!
Now John's back garden project. This was with the help of all the family, but first they had to get the snake catcher in when this dugite was found!

...and the finished project! Planting has already begun in the new area. |
.......and Trudi's spring flowers, which look very beautiful and very typically British.
Here's our garden photos
Our roses and other garden flowers.......
Here's a photo took of some ducks on the river on one of our morning walks.
Mike has just this minute come in with an old photo he found in the garage which we would like to share. It's us with Jo when she was about 2 1/2 years old.

Well, that's about it for now. I hope this blog will keep you all amused for a little while, chuckle! Restrictions here in WA have eased a little now which helps a lot and hopefully they will continue to do so in the near future. Stay safe everybody and keep your distance and keep washing your hands, chuckle!
Until the next time
Enjoy!
