Here’s the news for August! One birthday here this month - Benjamin's 5th. We didn't manage to get down to Denmark (WA) for it, but John has sent some photos, so here they are.
Opening presents:
John has also put his Bali holiday photos up and can be seen by clicking this link:

Jo and the girls have continued to win prizes in various art shows - well done all of you! I'm afraid we have no photos though this time.
Simon is still very busy writing and manages to keep to his schedules as far as possible.
They are all still riding their bikes everywhere.
Apart from that not much has happened! Mike has been working on trying to get one of his Spanish stories published online by Amazon books, and has almost got it done. It was much more complicated than he thought, and has caused him a lot of aggro, chuckle! but he has done very well, considering that I was unable to help as I knew nothing about the programs he was having to use.
Another reason was because both our old PCs have been giving trouble lately, so I decided to get a new laptop, with a big screen. Trouble was it was Windows 7 Home Premium, so I've been learning what's different from Windows XP (a lot!). Also I'm finding that some our my XP programs are not fully functional with Windows 7.
Not only that, after taking a couple of weeks to set the laptop all up and get my stuff over from the old PC, I then discovered that the DVD player/burner in it was malfunctioning - so back it had to go to the shop! They tested it and found there was a fault and although they gave me a straight exchange, it meant I had to set it up all over again! Never mind - it's kept me out of mischief, chuckle!
Mike has also managed to do a bit of walking - but not as far as usual - while waiting to get his knee looked at, and I escaped from the PCs by playing bowls 3 times a week in the afternoons, chuckle!
Here's a few local photos.
