April 2014

Hello again!

We've had a busy month with our anniversary, 2 birthdays and Easter, besides Mike doing quite a bit of work around the outside of the house and me setting up his new Windows 7 computer and sorting out his files on his old XP before transferring them all over

Anyway, we'll start off with our anniversary, which we celebrated with a big breakfast at the Kent St Weir cafe, and also a family paella (of course - what else, chuckle!)

Mike gave me a couple of Big Kahunas - look below before you start guessing, chuckle!

Liz had a few friends to stay over at the farm, so we managed to get a couple of photos of her from Tricia

Mike started work on the new gates and driveway inside them where the roots of the big tree outside had lifted up the concrete slabs. It was a big job and took a while! I managed to help with sweeping the filling sand in between the joints of the pavers (in between working on his old and new computers, chuckle!)

It looks very nice now it's finished

Next up was Easter and our John sent us these photos of how they celebrated it.

John and Emil also had some fun with their model aeroplanes

Jo was away in Gracetown over Easter exhibiting some of her artwork, so we celebrated her birthday when she got back, with Tricia, John and the girls.

It was also Silvia's birthday the following week, and here's some more photos John sent us.

To finish off, here's couple of flower photos and one of the new moon!

Mike hasn't had time to do much walking this month, and as yet has not decided whether he will walk in Spain again this year or not. I have managed to play some bowls to keep my hand in, chuckle!
The weather is now lovely, as it usually is this time of the year here in Oz, in our Autumn - sunny and warm in the daytime but quite chilly sometimes early in the morning and in the evening. We had one good bout of rain, which interrupted the painting of the outside of the caravan.....

.........but still need more to fill the dams. We hope family and friends in the UK, Europe and the rest of the Northern Hemisphere are beginning to see your Spring coming and the weather warming up for you all!

See you again next month!
