Hi all
Another month has flown past, with not much news this time as we have no birthdays in September but we did have Father's Day. All the family Skyped to wish him a Happy Father's Day, and we made a small paella to celebrate it here at home.
Now Here's some photos John sent, chuckle!

Recently Silvia
and Emil started walking the Bibbulmun track from Walpole to
Northcliffe. The weather was pretty wet and when John went to pick up
Silvia after a few days, as she had to go to work, Emil decided to carry
on, on his own, to Northcliffe. As his boots were already soaked, he
swapped them with John's but still got soaking wet feet, which
eventually gave him blisters (see photo below) but he said it was still a
very good experience and he was glad he did it alone, though he did
meet one or two other walkers on the way.
Enough of bad feet, chuckle!
It seems that Spring may be in the air, as our garden is full of freesias and other flowers, although the weather is still very changeable - quite warm and sunny one day, then cold and rainy the next (our equivalent of April showers, but in October here in Australia.) We also managed to get some walks along the river in between showers!
Now here's all the flowers etc.

Not sure what this is called. Anyone know? |

Here's some photos we took up at Mundaring Weir where we had a lovely day out and lunch.
This is a lovely reflection taken upstream from us, of the bridge over the Canning river near Maddington - a good jigsaw puzzle subject!
All the family are well and keep in touch regularly via Skype, which is good, as they all have such busy lives. We have been walking when we can, depending on the weather, along our local bit of the Canning River and Mike still rides his bike to the weir and back now and then, while I am bowling, chuckle!
That's all for now. Next month - October - we have 3 birthdays, Mike's first, then Lizzie, then me, so it might be a bit more interesting, and we'll also have news from Alex and Lizzie, who both contacted Mike on his birthday.
Enjoy!
