We have 2 more birthdays this month (Mike's birthday photos went up last month as we celebrated a little earlier with the family while in Denmark WA) and also some photos of performances by Emil and John, which I will start with.
Two shows were put on alongside each other, in Albany under the direction of Annette Carmichael. The one Emil was in with other young performers, was A Lighter Shade of Red, while the one John was in was The Beauty Index, which was also performed last year in Denmark. (We went to see that one as Emil was in it last year - this year John took his place! but we didn't manage to get down to see this year's show) There are loads of photos, but I have picked out just a few for the blog, as the show really needed to be seen to get the atmosphere which was created.
All the following photos of the show are by curtesy of Nic Duncan.
The first 3 are photos taken before the show.....

The following week Jo came up so that we could celebrate Lizzie's 21st. We made the main paella and Jo made a special shell fish free one for Nathan and his Dad. This was followed by the cake, and fresh fruit and ice cream. It was a lovely afternoon with very congenial company.

Jo made a special shell fish free paella for Nathan and his Dad, Paul.
......as did ours. |
Here we all are, from left to right, Nathan's mum Karen, me, Mike, Jo, Alex, Liz and Nathan. (Paul took the photo)

....and listening to a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday! (below is the ending only!!) |
Jo's visit coincided with my birthday too, which was nice, because apart from having coffee at the weir, Alex, Liz and Nathan also came round later and we had yet another lovely meal and cake etc. Here are some photos from the day.

We bumped into Heather at the weir |
Me with the cake - I've either gone back to my 2nd childhood or you have to multiply the candles by 2, i'e 2 number 7 candles, chuckle!
Lighting the candle..... |
.....and I've still got enough puff to blow it out twice! Mike reckons I'm full of wind anyway!!

I think that's it for now - see you all again next month, hopefully!
Enjoy!
