January continued and February 2019

Hello again

This blog continues with events from January after the last blog and events for February. Most of the items are from other members of the family, as we haven't done much at all as Mike had to have a minor op which stopped us doing much. He is recovering well though, so will soon be back to normal.

I'll start with Maya's birthday photos, as I did the last blog before that occurred.

Maya's birthday - presents ready to be opened!

The cake, which Maya decorated herself.

At the end of January, Silvia took Benjamin for a holiday in Bremer Bay with her friend Emma and son, Ollie, where they met up with another friend Julie. It looks like they had a fun time!

Emil did a gig with Miles Mitchell at the Freehand Wine Bar, but I'm not sure if this was before Benjamin and Silvia's Bremer Bay holiday or after.

Now a bit of news from the UK. My sister Marion's granddaughter Alice has recently launched yet another book, and here she is signing them - she's getting quite famous now and has a lot of fans/followers, chuckle!

John has recently given his old Mini a face lift, and doesn't it look good now!

The Mini - Emil at the wheel!

On 24th February the Denmark Senior High School held it's students ball. Here's some photos.

We had a visit from Jo last week, which was a lovely surprise. We forgot to take any photos but we enjoyed having her to stay for a few days.

Now I'll finish off with some photos of the fauna and flora around our house.

The 2 black metal chairs above were a present to us from Marion and Bill when they came out for John and Silvia's wedding. They were once grey, but now have also had a face lift to black and Mike made the circular discs to fit the seats so we can use them as chairs or side tables! (Mike still has the other 2 of the set and a table to do, but he has to be A1 fit before I'll let him do that, chuckle!)

To end with, here's a photo of our floribunda rose bush which John and Silvia gave us when they moved from Bassendean to Denmark some years ago.

I'm still playing social bowls when it's not too hot and we have started getting up early in the mornings before it does get too hot, for a half an hour walk, which is getting me fitter - I hope! - and Mike back into the swing of things.

That's it for now. Hopefully there will be another blog next month.
Enjoy!
