June 2019

Hi all
Not much on this month's blog as the weather here has been pretty wet and miserable - so far we've had nearly 180mls of rain this month! and we've also had rotten colds (back to normal now) so haven't been out and about much.

We got back from Denmark last time on Saturday 1st June, but did manage to watch Benjamin sing with the school choirs, and Emil play with his group on the Friday evening at the Denmark Festival of Voice before coming home. Both performances were very good.

John and Maya arrived back from Spain and stayed over a couple of nights with us before going back home to Denmark. John went through all the photos he'd put up on the link below so he could tell us all about the trip which they both thoroughly enjoyed.

Here's the link which should give you something interesting and lovely to look at:

John and Maya in Spain

There are a lot of photos on it, so it might be a good idea to 'bookmark' it so you can go back to it whenever you feel like it, chuckle!

Liz and Nathan came to visit last weekend, and it was lovely to catch up with them again.

Alice, my great niece, whose previous books have been very successful, recently did some artwork on the window of Rogan's Books in Bedford in the UK to promote her latest book called 'Heartstopper' which is in comic book form. Here's the photos she sent me.

Such talents we have in the family - musicians, artists, inventors, graphic designers and authors and play writers to name but a few, chuckle! Must get it all from the parents/grandparents!

Now here's a few other photos to fill up the blog taken locally - when it wasn't raining!

A heron feeding in the soggy park

A big mushroom - and family!

This 'puff ball' mushroom looks like some strange
animal's head I reckon!

Pretty wildflowers - well weeds really!

A strange tree in the park.....

...and a majestic one.

A pair of doves on our gate

My African violets

And here's a photo Trudi sent of blackcurrants from the bush in her garden - over a kilo (2 1/2 lbs!)

That's it for now. Hope you enjoy it!
See you next time hopefully!
